In this post, I'm sharing a case decision that is near and dear to my heart: the Steinberger decision.
I audited Ms. Steinberger's loan in 2010 and she went on to hire Barbara Forde, who had just won her own case. The case dragged on for several years until Barbara decided on a Petition for Special Action, which ultimately turned the tide for the case, and for Arizona homeowners.
I saw a lot of breakthrough case decisions in late 2013 and early 2014. Around that time, the courts seemed to have finally had enough of these cases, and they stopped believing everything the banks were saying in their proceedings.
